Clinks
When we first met Clinks they had a number of disparate systems spread across multiple sites. They had a website, an online directory, a very basic list of events, a newsletter and a discussion forum. They were looking to consolidate all these systems as much as possible and save staff time from mundane admin, releasing them to focus on their overall mission: supporting the voluntary sector working with people in the criminal justice system and their families.
CRM Feature: Directories
Once we had migrated Clinks' data into our native Drupal CRM system we were able to create a directory by merely exposing the same CRM data with a different look, feel and permissions. We were able to take advantage of Drupal's end-user social tools to create a directory that allowed organisations to safely modify information about their own organisation in the directory themselves. We were able to use the information we already had in the CRM system to understand the hierarchy of who worked at which organisation and the permissions they could have, whilst giving certain individuals within the organisation the ability to manage this further. This saved a great deal of time and ensured the directory would more likely be up-to-date and useful.
CRM Feature: Job Board
We found that the discussion forum was mainly used to post Jobs, so we built a purpose built Job Board instead to help organisations post Jobs and individuals find them. Our CRM system turned into a membership management system and it gave members a variety of benefits, including a fully integrated Drupal mailing system for members to receive special and important newsletters relevant to their field.
